Our Story
Latha Liza founded PBEX simply as a side hustle. In 2012, she was working as an SAP consultant, specializing in business intelligence. She wanted to have control of her time and decided to explore a career as an entrepreneur. Liza began researching business idea options. Little did she know that a light-bulb moment would come to her at the most unexpected moment – a holiday trip. While snuggling lazily in a soft comforter in her hotel room, she realized that she wanted to start a business which supplies premium quality hotel amenities to hotels.
And that was how PBEX came about. Being pregnant at that time, Liza started small by supplying soaps and shower gels to hotels in the Klang Valley. However, her excellent customer service and approachable nature got demands streaming in.
What started as a mere soap supply proliferated into a barrage of amenities, including tissues, lotions, bathrobes, bed sheets, cleaning supplies, and many more. And in 2014, Liza took to managing PBEX full time.
Today, PBEX supplies over 30 different types of hotel toiletries and amenities. Meanwhile, the company has also expanded its services to include trading, training and a house brand soap with medicinal properties called Giddy Goat.
